Printing articulated figures: constructing flexible and extendable artificial figures using mixed material 3D printing for use in stop motion animation (University of the West of England, Centre for Fine Print Research)

Laura-Beth has worked in the animation industry as a film maker, model maker and journalist, with a focus on animated film and stop-re and techniques. During her MA studies in Animation at UWE she developed a short stop-motion film that used traditional and modern model making techniques, this in turn was a direct influence on her PhD research topic “Printing articulated figures: constructing flexible and extendable artificial figures using mixed filament 3D printing for use in stop motion animation.”
Laura-Beth has worked in the animation industry as a film maker, model maker and journalist, with a focus on animated film and stop-motion practice. She has made several film that have been screened internationally , given talks and written article on various aspects of animation culture and techniques. During her MA studies in Animation at UWE she developed a short stop-motion film that used traditional and modern model making techniques, this in turn was a direct influence on her PhD research topic.
