Any festival begins long before any festival begins. To consider the ecological impacts of a festival there is therefore a broad spectrum of choice as to where your boundaries are laid. A festival and its audience, its locale, develop long-term relationships, long distance relationships, digital relationships and interactions long before the gates open, long after the gates close. Transparent Modular Specifics will aim to develop a relationship with the land and its people long before the festival takes place and look to develop a performance installation on site that is at once transparent, modular and specific. This process will draw the decisions of the individual into the calculation of our larger ecological impacts thereby moving towards an ecological form of subjectivity whereby all things are delicately interconnected and being is with.
